Hello everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve posted here at Jamo Records. I haven’t been as active in it as I was for 3.5 months because of other priorities, but I still have readers that want new content. I am trying to layout a posting schedule for the next 6 months. Hopefully, that will help me be more consistent. Also, I haven’t updated my author page, but I no longer have any authors working with me, so it’s just me. If you’re interested in guest authoring for Jamo Records, please reach out. ([email protected])
Van Halen Is Still Rocking
How many of you saw the Van Halen concert in Times Square in New York? I think everyone was blown away because David Lee Roth was with them. He doesn’t sing as well as he used to (or did he ever really sing?), but he’s still got the moves. And Eddie is always on point. They did Panama and Jump, two of my favorites from them. I was hoping to catch some more stuff but they only played 2 songs. I was kind of feeling some Van Halen today so I did a little research and found this article I want to share with you.
“I’ve inherited the band, de facto, whatever that means,” Roth said late last year.
I wonder if they wear their depends on stage?
Van Halen is touring again with Kiss as the headliner. What a cool show that would be? David Lee and Eddie both are 65 and Alex Van Halen is 66. The only young one with them is Eddie’s son Wolfgang and he’s 28. I wonder if Van Halen has a hard time keep up with WolfGang, or is it the other way around?
When it comes to Van Halen, EVERYBODY knows their stuff. Especially Jump! I think they played that song 40 times a day on The Zoo here in Dallas/Ft Worth during the summer it was released. Then they followed it up with Panama. What a killer jam that is? And you can’t forget Hot For Teacher. Really, the whole 1984 album is a killer!
Now The Article
So the article I want you guys to read is titled, “Watch David Lee Roth Perform ‘Panama’ at Kickoff of 2020 Tour with Kiss”. It’s a Rolling Stone article and on it you can watch this video of them performing. It’s really cool to see them old buzzards jamming still. 60 is definitely the new 40.
I want to leave with you some music to jam to. How about some Van Halen 1984?! 🙂
